Find Your HS Code
Enter your product name or a code to get started. We confirm the correct classification and its SABER implications by hand — automated lookups often return the wrong subheading.
Not sure of your HS code? Send us your product details and we will identify it, along with the applicable Technical Regulation and documents.
What is an HS Code?
The Harmonized System (HS) code is an internationally standardised number used to classify traded products. Saudi customs uses it to apply duties, and SABER uses it to determine which Technical Regulation — if any — applies to your product.
Chapter
Broad product category (e.g. 85 — electrical).
Heading
Product group within the chapter.
Subheading
Specific product type (global level).
National code
Saudi tariff detail used at customs.

Once your HS code is confirmed, we can tell you whether a Technical Regulation applies and what conformity route your product follows. Here is the kind of assessment we return — illustrative only; we confirm the regulatory status from verified data before advising.
| Field | Example result |
|---|---|
| Product | Electric water pump |
| HS code | 8413.70 (to be confirmed for your model) |
| SABER | Registration required — check applicable regulation |
| Technical Regulation | Applicable / to be confirmed by category |
| Likely documents | Test report + technical datasheet + photos |
| Next step | Request a product assessment |
Confirm your HS code & SABER route
Send your product name and, if known, the HS code. We identify the correct classification, the applicable Technical Regulation and the documents you will need.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find the HS code for my product?
Classification is based on the product's material, function and construction — not just its name. The safest route is to send us the product name, a datasheet and photos; we identify the correct HS code and, importantly, confirm the applicable Saudi Technical Regulation at the same time. Send your product details to get started.
Does my HS code decide whether I need SABER?
Largely, yes. SABER maps HS codes to Technical Regulations. If your code falls under a regulation, the product is regulated and needs both a PCoC and an SCoC. If not, it is treated as non-regulated and typically needs only an SCoC. The exact status must be verified against current SABER data.
What happens if the HS code on my documents is wrong?
An incorrect code can change your duty and cause customs to expect conformity documents you have not prepared — a frequent cause of delays and re-inspection. It is far cheaper to confirm the code before shipment. See our Saudi Customs Guide for how classification affects clearance.
Can one product have more than one possible HS code?
Sometimes a product could plausibly sit under two headings, and the choice affects both duty and certification. We assess the correct classification and document the reasoning so it holds up at Saudi customs.
